Brewing Recommendations
We roast this coffee to about 15% development. That means it's gone far enough beyond first crack for flavors to develop, and it's starting to tip into "roasty" territory. This coffee has enough natural sweetness makes it perfect for this roast level.
We recommend the following brew methods:
Drip: If you're looking for an easygoing daily driver, this is a perfect choice.
Espresso: When we pull this at the shop, it pulls a smooth shot with a thick crema. Perfect for a shot to sip or for milk drinks.
Cold Brew: Cold brew always cuts the acidity way down, making the sweetness shine. For a coffee like this, expect a chocolatey brew.

"This is the best neighborhood coffee shop on the upper west side, period. Delicious coffee, delicious food, cozy interior, just the right vibe. They're open early if you need to grab coffee before work, and they're open on the weekend and it's such a fun neighborhood scene. Solid state: I love you!! Thank you for everything! Thank you for existing!! And thanks to all of the employees who are hard-working and kind."
"It’s the best flat white in NYC. I know, it’s a bold statement, but it’s true, bright delicious espresso shines through, perfect foam texture and ratio, perfect temperature. I’ve tried a lot of others and this is the best. Also they have an incredible Greens / salad / grain Bowl that’s soooo delicious and a perfect way to start the day. Great seating, service and AC."
"Absolutely the best coffee spot on the Upper West Side (& I have been to them all). It’s the local gem. Don’t skip the homemade pastries. The Banana Bread and Vatrushka are my personal faves.
There is frequently a line out the door for a reason. It’s really good. Wait in it; you will be happy you did."
