96B Liberica Project (8oz) | Vietnam
This isn’t your everyday coffee — it’s a whole other species. Our 96B Liberica Project is a blend of Liberica and Excelsa, grown in Quảng Trị, Vietnam, as part of a collaboration with 96B Cafe & Roastery in Vietnam.
Unlike Arabica or Robusta, Liberica and Excelsa make up less than 1% of the world’s coffee production, and this lot is a glimpse into the future: more climate-resilient, more adventurous, and truly unlike anything else in your cup.

Flavor & Profile
-
Expect sweet stevia leaf, peach tea, and ripe papaya — notes that feel both floral and fruit-forward, with a wild, fruity complexity that lingers.
-
There’s a gentle woody and smoky undertone too — classic Liberica character, balanced by the brightness of Excelsa.
-
The body is bold and full, with a syrupy richness that carries everything beautifully.
Brewing Notes
-
Best for filter / pour-over: Unlocks its fruit complexity and tea-like elegance
-
Espresso: Pulls a truly unique shot if you want to try something new. Expect bright and punchy botanical notes
- Try brewing it with a lower dose than normal. We've found a tea-like brew does it justice.

"This is the best neighborhood coffee shop on the upper west side, period. Delicious coffee, delicious food, cozy interior, just the right vibe. They're open early if you need to grab coffee before work, and they're open on the weekend and it's such a fun neighborhood scene. Solid state: I love you!! Thank you for everything! Thank you for existing!! And thanks to all of the employees who are hard-working and kind."
"It’s the best flat white in NYC. I know, it’s a bold statement, but it’s true, bright delicious espresso shines through, perfect foam texture and ratio, perfect temperature. I’ve tried a lot of others and this is the best. Also they have an incredible Greens / salad / grain Bowl that’s soooo delicious and a perfect way to start the day. Great seating, service and AC."
"Absolutely the best coffee spot on the Upper West Side (& I have been to them all). It’s the local gem. Don’t skip the homemade pastries. The Banana Bread and Vatrushka are my personal faves.
There is frequently a line out the door for a reason. It’s really good. Wait in it; you will be happy you did."
