Burr grinder (you can buy pre-ground coffee, but freshly ground is always better!)

Brewing Your AeroPress

Measure your coffee.
Use 15 grams of coffee (about 1 full AeroPress scoop). You can always adjust depending on how strong you like your coffee. The most important thing is that it tastes amazing to you! -
Grind your coffee.
For AeroPress, a medium-fine grind works best—think table salt or fine sand. Every grinder and coffee is a little different, so start with this grind and make small adjustments to taste. -
Prep your AeroPress.
Place a paper filter in the cap and rinse it with hot water. This removes any paper taste and pre-warms your AeroPress. Attach the cap to the chamber and discard the rinse water. -
Add coffee and water.
Put your ground coffee in the AeroPress. Start your timer and pour in 220 grams of hot water. Stir gently for 5 seconds to make sure all the grounds are wet. -
Steep and press.
Let the coffee steep for about 2 minutes. Then insert the plunger and gently press down for 20–30 seconds, stopping when you hear a soft hiss. This ensures a smooth, balanced cup.
Ready to Drink
Pour your AeroPress coffee into a mug and enjoy immediately. You can drink it straight, or dilute with hot water for an Americano-style cup. Milk, cream, or sweeteners are up to you!
